Uploading and Linking Multimedia Content
Multimedia submissions are required for all articles submitted to Bridges: Conversations in Global Politics. There are two options for multimedia submissions: linking to an already hosted file (a streaming submission), or uploading the file directly.
Option 1: Linking to a file that is already hosted (i.e. a streaming file).
During the article submission process you will see the following screen:
If you have hosted your file on youtube or another online server or host enter the URL and select the appropriate filetype from the 'Select media format' drop-down menu.
Option 2: Uploading a file on your computer.
Complete the submission process and disregard the streaming media instructions in Option 1.
When you complete the submission process you will see the following screen:
Click on 'Upload additional files' and you will be taken to this screen:
Select your video file from your computer and press 'Save File'
The following are acceptable video formats:
Windows Media Video(.avi)
.3GP (cell phones)
.AVI (windows)
.MOV (mac)
.MP4 (ipod/psp)
.MPEG
.FLV (adobe flash)
.SWF (shockwave flash)
.MKV (h.264)
