Author Biography
R. A. Foakes is Professor of English at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has edited texts by Shakespeare, Middleton, Henslowe, and Coleridge, and published on a wide range of subjects, including Elizabethan stages, cultural politics, nineteenthcentury poetry, Marston, Tourneur, and of course, Shakespeare. Shakespeare Performed: Essays in Honor of R. A. Foakes, edited by Grace Ioppolo, appeared last year.
