James Hirsh is a Professor of English at Georgia State University. He is the author of The Structure of Shakespearean Scenes (Yale UP) and of critical commentary in The Ben Jonson Quarterly, Modern Language Quarterly, Essays in Theatre, EnterText, PMLA, Shakespeare Quarterly, and elsewhere. He has edited New Perspectives on Ben Jonson (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press) and English Renaissance Drama and Audience Response (the Spring 1993 issue of Studies in the Literary Imagination).
