Author Biography
Alan H. Nelson is Professor Emeritus in the Department of English at the University of California, Berkeley. He has published widely on medieval and Renaissance drama. Recent titles include Monstrous Adversary: The Life of Edward de Vere, Seventeenth Earl of Oxford (Liverpool University Press, 2003) and The Library of Humphrey Dyson, 1558-1603 (forthcoming from Oxford University Press). Professor Nelson is also coeditor of the REED volumes for Oxford (2004).
