Shelley King is professor of English at Queen's University, Kingston, where she teaches nineteenth-century British literature and children's literature. She is co-editor with John B. Pierce of The Collected Poems of Amelia Alderson Opie (2009) and has published essays on Opie and on Philip Pullman.
