Abstract

Levels in ⁹⁷Tc , ⁹⁹Tc , ¹⁰¹Tc and ¹⁰¹Ru have been studied using the electron-capture decay of ⁹⁷Ru and the beta decays of ⁹⁹Mo, ¹⁰¹Mo and ¹⁰¹Tc, respectively. The energies and intensities of the gamma rays involved in these decays were measured with high precision by Ge(Li) detectors. Gamma-gamma coincidence experiments with Ge(Li)-Ge(Li) and Ge(Li)-NaI(Tℓ) spectrometers have been used to establish 9 levels in ⁹⁷Tc, 14 levels in ⁹⁹Tc, 45 levels in ¹⁰¹Tc and 11 levels in ¹⁰¹Ru. The low energy conversion electron spectrum from the decay of ¹⁰¹Mo was investigated with the Chalk River π√2 spectrometer. From these data, energies, spins and parities for states in ⁹⁷Tc , ⁹⁹Tc , ¹⁰¹Tc and ¹⁰¹Ru have been established and interpreted in terms of the shell model.
