dc.description.layabstract | The thesis is divided into two main sections. In the first section an attempt is made to describe the physical geography of the Bromley township and to show interrelationships between various phenomena. The second section gives an account of the activities of man upon this physical background. Field work was carried out in the township during the week of September 12 to 17, 1955, with the assistance of Dr. Thompson and Mr. Wood of the Department of Geography of McMaster University, and Mr. McLeod of the University of Toronto. Material was gathered also from the library and from aerial photographs, soil maps, and other sources. | en_US |
